Pedro II gold 20000 Reis 1852 AU58 NGC, Rio de Janeiro mint, KM463, LMB-O636. Two-year type. Similar to the later issues, but displaying a slightly different bust and triangular dentilation at the edges. A very pleasing, well-balanced example and an interesting die variety for the date, with noticeable repunching on the eight and subsequent repair that left two protrusions that look like devil horns at the top.
