Chihli (Pei Yang Arsenal). Kuang-hsu Dollar Year 23 (1897) AU58 NGC, KM-Y65.1, L&M-444, longhorn dragon with beady eyes. Boldly struck, with light rubbing on the very highest points. The surfaces show only a few light marks and full luster beams beneath light gray, and gold, patina. Very scarce in this attractive near-mint condition. The nicest example of this scarce issue we have seen.
