Republic Yuan Shih-kai Fantasy Dollar ND (1916) AU58 NGC, KMX-1385, Kann-B48. Plain edge. An interesting fantasy piece featuring the general and warlord Yuan Shih-kai as the Hongxian emperor (a title which he created and which was subsequently very short-lived). Here he is depicted on horseback in his full military regalia, while the reverse features the imperial house along with its city gate. A fairly scarce and highly ornate unofficial issue. Attractively toned, with some light cabernet brilliance around the devices.
