Louis XIV Ecu 1658-★V★ MS62 NGC, St. Palais mint, KM180, Dav-3800. From a mint plagued by poor planchet preparation, this exceptional specimen is virtually as made, with a few adjustment marks on the reverse and part of the edge having been shaved off in the process. Despite this, it features an exceptional array of deep rainbow toning as well as some hints of luster peeking through near the peripheries. Stunning in this quality of preservation.
