Great Britain
George I Crown 1718/6 MS63 PCGS, KM545.1, S-3639. Roses and plumes. A fantastically rare coin in high grade, we have never handled an example anywhere near such condition. In fact, the last record we can find of any mint state graded pieces selling was in 2008 as part of the Millennia Collection, where an NGC MS62 example hammered at $9,000. Indeed, as best we can tell, this very well may be the finest example known, even when considering other raw coins that have sold overseas. The surfaces are wholly natural with lovely gray toning throughout. Surely a coin for the most discriminating of collectors.
