William IV gold Sovereign 1831 VF35 NGC, Royal mint, KM717, S-3829. First bust, "W.W." incuse. The inaugural date from this low-mintage issue, showing darkened, dappled tone near the legends, and wear that has evenly affected the bust of William IV as well as the reverse arms motif. A popular type at all levels, and even when offered in a moderately circulated condition, still deserving of attention.
