Sicily. Charles III (VI of HRE) Oncia da 30 Tari 1732 CP-SM AU58 NGC, Palermo mint, 73.69g, KM131, Dav-1413, MIR-515. Simone Maurigi as mintmaster. Beautifully toned and remarkably well-preserved, this rare emission is deserving of close inspection. While the typical die breaks, minor adjustments, and striking weakness are noted, the surfaces betray little evidence of circulation. Some stray marks are noted along minor friction along the rims and highpoints of the bust, while considerable flash and residual luster have been retained throughout.
