Philip V gold Cob Escudo 1714 Mo-J MS62 PCGS, Mexico City mint, KM51.2, Cal-510. Toned on the shield side, with bright luster in the fields and few observed marks. Much scarcer than the 2, 4 and 8 escudo denominations that were recovered in quantity from the 1715 Plate Fleet shipwreck, and considering the legible date, a coin that should attract strong interest from cob collectors.
