Jose I gold 4 Escudos (Peça) 1751 AU58 NGC, Lisbon mint, KM240. Boldly appealing, with vivid, amber color and beautifully designed central illustrations on both sides. Rarely found at the Mint-State level, this mildly circulated selection shows a mixture of light wear and friction across the higher points, but strong detail at the outer registers that resolutely haloes the flan. Complete with a limited amount of markings, and residual luster that still brightens from the recesses.
