Isabel II Proof 10 Reales 1855 PR62 NGC, Madrid mint, KM595.2. A stunning presentation coin, displaying jewel-like brightness throughout the tone-free centers, a touch of golden tone at the edges and pinpoint crispness over the entirely of the raised design. Light handling determines the grade, but none of it is bothersome to the eye in the least, and the appearance truly parallels what one might expect from the '64' grade. Extremely rare in this quality and after a search of archived auctions records, one of just a few examples seen (of all dates) with similar attributes; the only quasi-comparable coin that we've previously offered was a 20 reales of the same design that was graded PR63 by NGC and sold for $7,637.50 in April of this year. An important opportunity thus!
