Honorius, Western Roman Emperor (AD 393-423). AV solidus (4.45 gm). NGC Choice AU 5/5 - 2/5, tooled. Rome, Milan style, ca. AD 404, 407-408. Pearl-diademed, draped, cuirassed bust of Honorius right, seen from front / Emperor standing right, left foot on captive, vexillum in right hand, Victory on globe in left; R-M across fields, COMOB in exergue. RIC 1252.
An interesting variant where the two figures on the reverse were engraved so large the M of the mint mark is awkwardly wedged between the arm of the emperor and the head of the captive.
