NORMAN. Henry I. 1100-1135. AR Penny (21mm, 1.41 g, 1h). Quadrilateral on Cross Fleurée type (BMC xv). London mint; Tofi, moneyer. Struck circa 1125-1135. + hEN[RIC]VS, crowned bust facing slightly left, holding scepter / + TOV[I :] ON : LVN[D]EN, quadrilateral with incurved sides and fleurs at limbs; all over cross fleurée. SCBI 48 (Northern), 1151; North 871; SCBC 1276. Good VF, deep iridescent tone, slightly crimped, some light earthen deposits.
