Facing half-length bust of St. Demetrius, holding spear over shoulder / Michael standing facing, holding akakia and being crowned by Virgin standing left; star over crescent to right. Bendall, "The coinage of Michael II, Angelos of Epirus, 1231-1265,"NumCirc CIV/1 (February 1996), 10; LBC 471-2; DOC –; SB –. Good VF, green patina, weak strike, hole in middle of the flan.
