France Banque de France 500 Nouveaux Francs 6.1.1966 Pick 145b. A high grade example of the always popular Moliere note. While the design is based on the 50,000 Old Francs note, the note was never released. Even the overprint type was never released in large quantities. However, thanking the foresight of bank officials with an eye for art, the design was reused one last time, before being replaced by the Pascal note.
