Part of an issue for use during the Suez Crisis in 1956 when Israel, Great Britain, and France attacked Egypt with the twin goals of toppling Egyptian President Nasser and regaining western control of the Suez Canal, this 50 Franc note was created by overprinting an earlier French military issue (Pick M8).
