Cyprus Government of Cyprus 5 Shillings ND (1918) Pick 7pp Progress Proof. The 5 Shillings denomination was released in the Spring of 1918 and remained in circulation until it was demonetized in March, 1922. This example is a progress proof, showing the brown and light blue tint portions of the note, but missing the black printing used for the date, signature, and serial numbers. PMG grades it Extremely Fine 40, noting printer annotations (in the upper right margin) and minor evidence of mounting residue on the left margin. The only previous auction appearance of this Pick number as a proof was in 2016 when this example crossed the auction block for $11,093. We feel that tonight's estimate is quite conservative and achievable; perhaps testing this price. HID08701242017
