Cyprus Government of Cyprus £10 30.6.1917 Pick 10s Specimen. The £10 note remained in circulation from its introduction in 1917 until it was demonetized in 1926 due to concerns over counterfeiting. This Specimen was probably created in 1917 as either a presentation or informational piece. In true Specimen style it is stamped as such in the lower right margin, has a solid zero serial number, and is perforated CANCELLED. PMG Very Fine 25 Net, with paper damage noted (apparently from careless dismounting). There is only one previous auction sale noted of this Pick number in any form, with that occurring when this note crossed the auction block for $15,482.
