Cyprus Government of Cyprus £5 1.9.1949 Pick 25. The £5 value was first issued in late 1938, the last denomination to be released to circulation. The notes were withdrawn from circulation and demonetized in 1958 and this, coupled with the large face value, helps to explain the relative scarcity of this design, particularly in higher states of preservation.
