Cyprus Government of Cyprus 5 Shillings 1.2.1952 Pick 29. An order for 1,000,000 5 Shillings notes was placed with Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. shortly before George VI's death. As a result half of the order was filled with notes depicting George VI and bearing a date of 1st February, 1952 (five days before his death) while the other half of the notes depicted Queen Elizabeth II and were dated 1st September, 1952.
