Cyprus Central Bank of Cyprus 250 Mils ND (1964-1982) Pick 41 Experimental Note on Tyvek. Tyvek was a breakthrough material developed by DuPont in the 1950s. It is a synthetic fiber consisting of flashspun olefin fiber. Generally, it is resistant to most tearing, is unaffected by most chemical agents, and very light weight. The durability is astounding, yet it can be easily cut. DuPont did not bring the material into major commercial use until the late 1960s, presumably around the same time this piece was printed. The American Bank Note Company and Bradbury Wilkinson & Co. used this paper to print notes. As all of the notes of this Cyprus issue were printed by BWC, it can be assumed that they also produced this experimental note. This note is one of the highlights of Ibrahim's collection and will be highly prized by the Cyprus specialist lucky enough to submit the winning bid. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64. HID08701242017
