Early French West Africa notes are becoming scarcer due to the passage of time and the hostile environmental conditions that they encountered. These two examples grade Fine-Very Fine or better. The lower graded example exhibits pinholes and rust spots, while the higher graded note, which is printed on bright paper with few signs of actual circulation, has a few light stains, particularly on the back bottom margin.
