Indian Cents
1877 1C MS62 Brown PCGS. No other issue in the Indian Head cent series had a mintage below 4 million coins before the 1877, which claims a famously meager production of 852,500. Collectors began to take notice of its relative scarcity by the early 1880s, and the date was virtually unseen in circulation by 1915. This MS62 Brown representative avoided circulation entirely. Lightly abraded surfaces are well-detailed with rich mahogany-brown patina.
