Lincoln Cents
1917-D 1C MS65 Red PCGS. The 1917-D is not known for a good strike, prompting the Bowers reference to call it "average to wretched." Thankfully, this Red Gem cent is sharply struck and certainly above average in that regard. Flame-orange surfaces display an overall dusting of greenish-gold patina that adds natural appeal. A few scattered carbon flecks and tiny marks do not diminish the lustrous visual allure. Population: 50 in 65 (2 in 65+) Red, 6 finer (7/17).
