1945-P 5C Doubled Die Reverse, FS-801, MS67 NGC. CENTS exhibits very strong die doubling, as do the final letters in MONTICELLO. STATES OF is also nicely doubled. FS-802 and FS-803 are also doubled die reverse varieties, but are much less dramatic than FS-801, which has attained a Guide Book listing. FS-801 has a triple-punched mintmark (below the base, and above the left side of the base), a fact neglected due to the greater interest in its die doubling. This is a highly lustrous Superb Gem with light olive-green toning and only minor field grazes.
