Bust Half Dimes
1833 H10C V-3, LM-4.1, R.2, MS66 NGC. The LM-4 variety is one of the most readily available die marriages among the 10 varieties of 1833 half dimes. It is perhaps more desirable in this early die state (LM-4.1) than later states when the dies were lapped. The O in OF is multiply repunched and moderate die clashing exists on both sides. A lustrous Premium Gem, the coin is sharply struck with only slight weakness at the central curls. Attractive reddish-gold, blue, and olive-gray toning joins nearly mark-free surfaces to provide plenty of eye appeal. Census (all varieties combined): 26 in 66, 19 finer (7/17).
