The hand-engraved O mintmark is the hallmark of this intriguing Guide Book variety, although other die flaws affect the QUAR. in the denomination and additional peripheral lettering. This well-circulated example shows the BER in LIBERTY clearly, confirming the grade, but is otherwise mostly smooth across the devices. The rims are complete. Light gray surfaces show deeper olive and russet coloration in the fields.
