Barber Quarters
1906-O 25C MS66 PCGS. CAC. Like many O-mint quarters in this turn-of-the-century series, the 1906-O is most often encountered in either the Good-VF or MS 60-64 grade ranges. Extensive circulation and poor preservation explain this seeming dichotomy. In addition to uncommonly bold strike definition, this lovely Gem displays a fresh, original toning scheme. The centers are nearly brilliant, but lilac, russet, and cobalt-blue patina thickens toward the borders. The luster is frosty in quality and the surface preservation is stellar for the issue.
