Standing Liberty Quarters
1923-S 25C MS63 NGC. A smallish mintage of 1.3 million Standing Liberty quarters was accomplished at the San Francisco Mint in 1923, and relatively few examples were saved by contemporary collectors. As a result, the 1923-S is a sought-after semikey issue today. This attractive Select specimen offers well-detailed design elements, with a touch of the usual softness on Liberty's head and the shield rivets. The lightly marked surfaces radiate vibrant mint luster and eye appeal is outstanding.
