1652 Pine Tree Shilling, Small Planchet, AU53 PCGS. Noe-29, W-930, Salmon 11-F, R.3. 71.45 grains. Struck on a clipped, out-of-round Small Planchet, this Noe-29 shilling alternates peach-red and grayish-blue toning with glints of remaining mint luster. The impressions are well-centered vertically on both the obverse and reverse, but the flan is narrow with the loss of some lettering upper-left obverse and upper-right reverse. The central devices are sharply struck for this "Thick 5" variety, while the legends alternate thick and normal characters on the somewhat egg-shaped planchet. Listed on page 41 of the 2018 Guide Book.
