Proof Flying Eagle Cents
1856 1C Snow-9 -- Rim Damage -- PCGS Proof Genuine. Fine Details. Snow-9 is an often-seen 1856 Flying Eagle cent variety, ideal for the collector seeking a single date representative without the added premium of a rare variety. This example experienced heavy circulation. Wear is even, and both sides have a two-toned appearance with deep chocolate-brown recesses and lighter tan-gold devices. The surfaces are finely granular under a loupe. A few small rim nicks and a light edge bump about 7 o'clock relative to the obverse are the only defects visible, although others may be hidden by the holder tabs.
