1836 50C Reeded Edge, GR-1, R.2, AU55 PCGS. Housed in a previous generation green label holder, this Choice About Uncirculated example of the low-mintage first-year Reeded Edge half retains a pleasing amount of mint luster. Only a few small marks dot the otherwise smooth, sharply struck surfaces. A small die crack is just starting to the right of the second S in STATES, indicating an early state of the dies. Lightly toned in pale-gold, blue, and lilac-gray hues. Population: 30 in 55, 56 finer (8/17).
