Indian Quarter Eagles
1911-D $2 1/2 MS62 NGC. In 1911, quarter eagle coinage at the Denver Mint amounted to only 55,680 pieces. Commercial demand for the denomination was virtually nonexistent except for a spike in interest toward the end of the year when new coins were sought as Christmas gifts. This Uncirculated survivor is well-struck and displays the usual straw-gold satin luster. A loupe reveals a few faint lines in the fields that limit the grade.
