Liberty Double Eagles
1890-CC $20 AU58 PCGS. CAC. Variety 1-A. This is a later die state piece that shows lapping on the tail feathers of the eagle and only slight evidence of die doubling. The surfaces appear to us to be fully lustrous (perhaps that factored into the CAC endorsement). Each side is original and untampered, with semireflective fields and light orange-gold color.
