Large Cents
1793 1C Liberty Cap, S-14, B-17, Low R.5-- Repaired -- PCGS Genuine. VF Details. Our EAC grade: sharpness of VF25, net VG10. Breen Die State II. Deep olive-brown surfaces exhibit splashes of maroon patina on this lovely and extremely important 1793 Liberty Cap cent, known as the Bisecting Crack for its constant vertical obverse die crack that is known on all surviving examples. Although a glass reveals extensive tooling on the obverse, that workmanship is not obvious to the unaided eye, and this piece has the appearance of an outstanding example that retains considerable design definition.
