1796 1C Reverse of 1794, S-110, B-16, R.3 -- Environmental Damage -- PCGS Genuine. VF Details. Our EAC grade: sharpness of Fine 15, net VG10. Breen Die State V. L and I of LIBERTY are recut on the left uprights, and 96 of the date are joined. A large die chip beneath E in UNITED confirms the middle die state. Light porosity on the obverse includes a few rough patches in the right field. The reverse is evenly porous and reground. Steel-brown surfaces show strong central definition with slight weakness at the edges. A rim ding at 8 o'clock on the obverse is the primary die marker for this well-pedigreed piece.
