Large Cents
1797 1C Rev of 1795, Plain Edge, S-NC-1, B-1, R.7 -- Rim Damage -- PCGS Genuine. Good Details. Our EAC grade: sharpness of VG7, net AG3. Eight examples of the 1797 NC-1 cent appear in the Noyes Census, and this example is one of the two non-photographed pieces, or it is a ninth known example. This piece has pleasing light to medium olive surfaces with a rim dent at the upper reverse that slightly disfigures the obverse below the date. LIBERTY is bold and the date is readable, with most of the reverse design clear. This piece might be the example that Noyes calls Good 5 sharpness, net AG3, and fifth finest known.
Ex: Chris Victor-McCawley.
