Large Cents
1800 1C S-198, B-19, High R.5 -- Environmental Damage -- PCGS Genuine. Good Details. Our EAC grade: sharpness of Good 6, net AG3. Breen Die State VI. Walter Breen stated that he only knew of four terminal die states examples of this variety, but it is not clear if he knew about this example or not. So, perhaps there are five such coins in existence. Either way, it is an extremely rare and highly desirable example. The surfaces are mostly dark brown and steel, with lighter tan on the reverse devices. A slight bend at the lower left part of the obverse appears to be the only defect.
Ex: Joseph Kane (3/12/1982); Jules Reiver (Heritage, 1/2006), lot 19456; EAC Sale (5/2006), lot 184.
