1878 7TF $1 Reverse of 1878 MS66 NGC. This is among the finest 1878 seven tailfeathers Morgan dollar of the Reverse of 1878 subtype. The strike is sharp, and each side displays mostly untoned, frosty mint luster with a halo of gold and aquamarine around part of the obverse periphery. The hair curls around Liberty's face do not show any high-point abrasions, and only a few light grazes on the jaw prevent an even finer grade. Census: 28 in 66 (1 in 66 ★), 1 finer; 5 in 66 Prooflike, 0 finer; 1 in 66 ★ Deep Prooflike, 0 finer (8/17).
