Three Dollar Gold Pieces
1879 $3 AU58 NGC. CAC. After the Mint vastly overestimated demand for three dollar coins when gold and paper currency reached parity, it returned to normal levels of ultra-low production in 1879. Only 3,000 pieces were struck that year. This reflective, nearly Uncirculated example offers lustrous, well-struck surfaces with pleasing rose-gold coloration.
