Liberty Double Eagles
1872-S $20 MS61 PCGS. Micro S. A total of 780,000 double eagles were struck at the West Coast branch mint in 1872. Most of them circulated heavily in that part of the country throughout the latter part of the 19th century. Comparable examples are scarce. This lustrous, khaki-gold twenty is well-struck and sure to fit nicely into a carefully assembled Uncirculated set. Population: 77 in 61, 9 finer (7/17).
