1905 G$1 Lewis & Clark MS64 Prooflike NGC. Lewis and Clark dollars of 1904-05 are elusive overall, yet NGC has seen currently 809 of them in near-Gem grade. But only 11 total have been given a Prooflike designation, and a mere five grade MS64 Prooflike with a single MS66 Prooflike finer (7/17). This canary-gold example is well within its rights to be called Prooflike, showing well-contrasted greenish-gold surfaces. It requires a loupe to observe the few tiny hairlines that prevent a finer numeric grade. The eye appeal is excellent.
