THESSALY. Larissa. Circa 380-365 B.C. AR drachm. 5.6 gm. 20 mm. Head of the nymph Larissa facing slightly left / Mare, with foal behind, standing right; ΣΑΙΩΝ above, ΛΑΡΙ in exergue. Cf. BCD Thessaly II (Triton XV, 3 January 2012), 295. Lorber-Shahar Series 6, Type C. HGC 4, 445. Very Fine; lovely style; lightly granular surfaces; beautiful old collection toning.

An example of the finest in Greek art, with a scarce reverse for this amazing series.
