National Bank of Egypt, obverse (4) and reverse (3) archival photographs showing designs for £10, 8 March 1929, black and white, first with portrait of Charles I of England at right, colossi at left, value at centre and corners, others with Street Scene at right, reverses showing ox powered water lift at left(Pick 23 for similar), The first of these once again features a portrait of Charles I, showing us that none had yet decided what was to go on the note. In this case he was replaced by a street scene. While this design is dated 1929, it was not issued until 1931. The Arabic and western numerals in the corners were eventually reversed but these designs are otherwise almost identical (7).
Estimate: £1,000.00 - £1,200.00
