Banco de Portugal, die proofs for 1000 escudos, ND (1956), obverse in two parts, first bright purple, Dona Filipa de Lancastre at right, arms at low centre, second black, city and cathedral at low left, ornate border, reverse on part, dark green, ornate tomb at centre(Pick 161 for type), typed printers annotations in margins, including the date 7.8.45 on reverse, which is very interesting considering this note was not issued for another 11 years, good very fine or better, very rare (3).
