THESSALY, Larissa. Circa 450/40-420 BC. AR Drachm (19mm, 5.84 g, 9h). The hero Thessalos, with chlamys hanging around neck and petasos at feet, restraining bull left by band held around its head / ΛΑPI-ΣΑIΑ, horse trotting left within incuse circle. Lorber, Thessalian 56; BCD Thessaly I –; BCD Thessaly II 370.2; HGC 4, 422. VF, lightly toned, some doubling on the obverse, light graffiti on the reverse.
