KINGS of PERSIS. Vahšīr (Oxathres). 1st century BC – 1st century AD. AR Hemidrachm (16mm, 2.00 g, 7h). Type 1. Istakhr (Persepolis) mint. Diademed and draped bust left; flower to left / Vahšīr (Oxathres) standing left, holding scepter and sacrificing before altar to right. K&M –; Tyler-Smith, Parcel –; cf. Alram 579 (drachm with similar symbols); cf. Sunrise 601 (same); CNG 90, lot 817 (same obv. die). VF, toned, slight double strike on obverse. Extremely rare.
