KYRENAICA. Kyrene. Circa 500-480 BC. Drachm (Silver, 14 mm, 4.06 g), Attic standard. Two silphium fruits back to back with central pellet and four pellets around. Rev. Silphium fruit with pellet atop and four pellets around; all in incuse square punch. BMC pl. IV, 5J. SNG Copenhagen 1165 var. Attractive and clear. The reverse struck somewhat off center, otherwise, extremely fine.
