A magnificent example with a portrait of exceptional beauty, perfectly centered on a broad flan. Good extremely fine.


The portraits on coins of the Lycian dynasts are not only among the earliest, but also among the finest renderings of rulers in classic numismatic art. This is an exceptional example and certainly among the finest portrait coins of Perikles known.
