Ptolemaic Kings of Egypt. Ptolemy VI Philometor, first reign, 180-164 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 14.17 g, 12 h), Alexandria, c. 180-170. Diademed head of Ptolemy I to right, wearing aegis. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ Eagle standing left on thunderbolt. SNG Copenhagen 262 ff. Svoronos 1489. Nicely toned and attractive. About extremely fine.
