Babelon (Pompeia) 20. Crawford 479/1. CRI 336. Sydenham 1044. With a splendid double-portrait of Pompey and a fine olive-green patina. Good very fine.

This is unquestionably one of the finest and most elegant of all the 'portrait' asses of Sextus Pompey. It bears a wonderful double-portrait of Pompey the Great, striking for both its strength and its authority.
